After major scale, the next most common are MINOR SCALE. The minor scale have characteristics and the minor scale have relationship with major scale, for example G major  is the relative minor from E minor, and E minor is the relative minor of G major, so these expressions have some use as a kind of shorthand, but they can dangerously misleading, since they may suggest that keys with the same key signature are merely version of each other
